Some were able to start courses immediately and nearly half of the visitors filled out application forms on the day for courses.
Over the last three years, the college's links with partner schools has strengthened and the numbers of local people joining its courses has grown.
The College's Assistant Principal, Peter Stone commented: 'It is impressive to meet so many school leavers who know exactly what course they want to study to shape their career. They came in fully prepared with questions and keen to talk with lecturers about what they would learn.
'Our open events are very successful and many school leavers left saying how excited they are about joining our college.'
Visitors took the opportunity of joining in special ' Have a Go' activities and spoke to current students and lecturers to find out about the courses.
They got an insight into the campus and life at college on tours with students and staff.
The college has invested £25 million in the past five years to create superb light and airy classrooms and workshops. Visitors also saw the new £4 million, state-of-the-art, centre for science, technology, engineering and mathematics, built with financial support from the London Mayor's office.
The next open event will take place on Saturday 27th January 2018, 10.00am - 1.00pm.
