Talented Fashion Students Bag the Council's Local Selling Opportunity

Fashion students from Waltham Forest College have produced 3,000 shopping bags in a bid to boost local shopping across the borough.

Seven talented teenagers worked with a manufacturer to create tote bags available at a pop-up shop from 2 to 19 December, at the ' Hoe Hoe Hoe Street Xmas Bazaar' Central Parade, Walthamstow.

Top Exam Result for a College and University Student

A mature, undergraduate student gained a top exam grade while studying a GCSE course at Waltham Forest College.

Student, Bimmy Rai, 48 from Leyton, achieved the highest grade, in her GCSE English Language exam at Waltham Forest College after it was re-marked by assessors.

Mother of Four Discovers Career Path Through Apprenticeship Course at College

A mother in her late 30s has found her true vocation in life after completing a course at Waltham Forest College.

Sarah Channell, 38, from Edmonton in Enfield, with four children, started a new career last August at Trinity London Care Leyton.

Two years ago, she decided that she needed to change her life and applied online for an apprenticeship course at the College. Her application was accepted and she has not looked back since.

The William Morris Gallery in partnership with arts agency Create presents ' Be Magnificent', a new exhibition that reveals the history of Walthamstow School of Art and features a diverse range of photography, painting, music, fashion design and film.
